Hi, and welcome to my blog, Auto Market Insights!
I’m Michelle Hoffman, Vice President of Marketing at Copart. Copart is a global online auto auction company that sells nearly two million salvage and clean title vehicles each year to more than 750,000 dealers, dismantlers, rebuilders, exporters and end users across the world.
I have more than 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising, sales, public relations and operations and have worked for several large brands including Six Flags Theme Parks, Sears Holdings, American Standard Heating and Air Conditioning, and Whirlpool.
At Copart, I lead a marketing team of 20. Together, we drive Copart’s success around buyer acquisition, conversion and retention. We also provide support and leadership across all divisions and departments within our organization.
Renowned marketer Bryan Eisenberg famously said, “Our jobs as marketers are to understand how the customer wants to buy and help them do so.” Since joining Copart in June 2012, I’ve immersed myself in all things automotive in order to understand the unique needs and desires of our buyers.
The insights that I’ve gained over the past few years have inspired me to start this blog, Auto Market Insights. My goal is to share best marketing practices, lessons learned, strategies and tips to other automotive industry professionals.
